The GX has always been a solid entry into the LandCruiser lineup — but now, it’s had a serious upgrade.
The 2025 model brings in smarter tech, better safety, and a few extra creature comforts, all while keeping the rugged performance LandCruiser is known for. If you're wondering what's changed, here's a quick walkaround of everything that's new.
One of the biggest changes is the tech. The GX now comes standard with Toyota Connected Services, so you can check in on your car using the MyToyota Connect app. Whether you want to check the vehicle’s health, lock or unlock the doors remotely, or even find your LandCruiser in a busy carpark — it’s all there on your phone.
You’ll also get wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. No cables, no hassle — just easy access to your apps, music and maps.
Inside the cabin, you’ve now got a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an upgraded 8-inch touchscreen — super clear and easy to use. And the six-speaker sound system does a great job if you love a bit of music on the move.
The GX now comes with the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3, which adds some great updates. You’ll get:
It’s all designed to give you more confidence behind the wheel — whether you’re cruising the highway or heading off the beaten track.
A few smaller upgrades also make a big difference day-to-day — like a powered tilt and telescopic steering wheel to get your driving position just right, and a reversing camera with on-screen guidelines to make parking that bit easier.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a LandCruiser without serious performance.
The GX still packs a 3.3L twin turbo V6 diesel, putting out 227 kilowatts and 700Nm of torque — plenty of power for towing, touring, or tackling tough terrain.
You’ve got a 110-litre fuel tank capacity across the main and sub tanks, a 3,500kg braked towing capacity, and practical features like:
And being a 5-seater, you’ve still got plenty of boot space for camping gear, tools or the weekend getaway bags.
If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your Prado or joining the LandCruiser crew for the first time — the 2025 GX is a great place to start. All the capability you’d expect, now with a whole lot more comfort and smarts.
