We often get asked what the difference is between time versus kilometre servicing, and which schedule guests should run by. And the short answer is that it really depends on your own circumstances!
In your Toyota Logbook, you’ll notice that your vehicle will have both time & kilometre service intervals listed.
For guests who do a lot of driving, like highway commuters, it’s always recommended that you service your car when the kilometres listed are reached. As with the increased driving levels, components of your car will wear and tear faster.
For guests who don’t travel many k’s per year and use their cars more as a local run about, its highly recommended that your car be serviced at the time specified in your logbook, even if you haven’t racked up the kilometres yet! And there are a few reasons for this...
Remember your servicing intervals are time or kilometres based, whichever occurs first.
