Feelin' good now!

One of the first things you’ll want to do when you pick up your new Toyota is connect your smartphone. With Bluetooth® and smartphone integration, you can enjoy hands-free calls, music streaming, navigation, and apps, all from your Toyota’s infotainment system.

Whether you’re using an iPhone or Android, here’s how to get set up quickly and easily in your new Toyota.

Step 1: Turn on Bluetooth® on your phone

If its not already, the first thing you will need to do is make sure that Bluetooth® is switched on on your smartphone or device.

  • On iPhone: Go to Settings > Bluetooth and switch it on.
  • On Android: Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and turn it on.

Step 2: Pair your phone with your Toyota

Once your Bluetooth® is on, the next step is the pair your phone with your Toyota.

  1. Start your Toyota and make sure the infotainment system is on.
  2. On the screen, select the "Settings Gear" in the bottom right hand corner.
  3. Choose "Bluetooth & Devices"
  4. Choose “Add New Device”. (Note: Bluetooth® on your phone will need to be switched on at this point)
  5. Hit "Search for Devices"
  6. Your Toyota will begin searching, select your phone from the list when it appears.
  7. Confirm the pairing code shown on both your phone and your Toyota’s screen.
  8. Accept the pairing request on your phone.

Step 3: Set your preferences

  • If you choose to, you can allow your phone to share contacts and call history so you can use hands-free calling.
  • Select your phone as the primary device if you’d like it to connect automatically each time you start your car. (this means that if two phones are paired, yours will be the one paired if both are in the car at the same time)

Step 4: Use Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ (if equipped)

Most Toyota models from 2025 in Australia now come with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ as standard (please check with your sales consultant to see if your vehicle qualifies). Once paired:

  • Apple users: If you choose to enable Apple CarPlay, then you can connect wirelessly directly to your phone.
  • Android users: Many newer Android devices support wireless connection, if not, just use a USB cable.

This unlocks apps like Google Maps, Spotify, Apple Music and Messages right from your Toyota’s multimedia screen.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If your phone doesn’t connect, delete the device from your Toyota’s Bluetooth® menu and try pairing again.
  • Make sure your phone’s software is up to date.
  • Restart your phone and your Toyota if the system freezes or doesn’t recognise your device.
